Welcome to Rainbow Bridge
Hi there, and a warm welcome to Rainbow Bridge Online.
This blog is dedicated to remembering our pets who are waiting for us, albeit playing, at Rainbow Bridge.
It is a community of like-minded animal-lovers who want to remember their pets with a smile, whilst helping and supporting others who have also felt the pain of losing a friend or two.
We all have that in common.
I am Tony; a father, husband and dog owner. Like many of you I have love my pets and they are treated as family members. On saying that, if you ask my wife, the order is dogs, daughter and then me but hey, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
We currently have Missy the Pug (AKA Missy, PugFace, Stinky, Cat-Dog, Top Cat and Princess Missy Moo Moo) and a Rottweiler called Bear (AKA Bear Peanut, Bear Cub, Stinky (notice a pattern here…?) and Doofus). Naturally they both insisted on having their own Instagram pages… Missy can be found @pugtasticmissy whilst Bear is @bear_peanut14.
In this house Missy is the boss being the older of the two and, if I may, being female. Bear is quite simply, an arse.
Whilst losing a pet is incredibly tough it is important to remember what your pet did that made you smile. What fitting memorials can you create for them?
Having been unsuccessful in looking for a nice modern memorial site when our last pet passed, I created this one, and I would love to have your pets featured on here too. This is FREE (and always will be, unlike other pet loss sites) and really easy to do. Simply go to Your Pet At Rainbow Bridge. You can see all of the Pets Waiting at Rainbow Bridge here as we copy over every pet featured on our Instagram page so they are also on this website in the form of a Rainbow Bridge Memorial Wall.
Visitors to the site can leave a comment on our Instagram page or on the tribute page for each pet with out being a member.
My aim and hope is to create a passionate, loyal and active community for animal-lovers who help and support each other through the hard times . I sincerely hope that you will become part of this. Words of support when your pet passes can make a real difference to how you feel, especially when those words are from a stranger who have experienced the same pain as you.
Even leaving a single emoji can help comfort a broken heart.
On that note you will find many POEMS and QUOTES offering words of comfort. I have written two poems myself one of which is THE RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM, inspired by THE ORIGINAL RAINBOW BRIDGE POEM. The second is called A SINGLE TEAR, the pet’s point of view whilst they wait for us at Rainbow Bridge. I hope you take the time to read them as I am super-proud of them both.
If you would like to download the three poems mentioned above, then join our mailing list and you will have instant access to them!
From A Single Tear, with the help of my beautiful and incredibly creative daughter (who can be found @ThatYouTubeGirl – please subscribe!!!), we created BUDDY THE DOG. Buddy features on his own merchandise. If you like the Single Tear poem and would like to purchase some of his products you can find them in our RAINBOW BRIDGE STORE. This store has many items which will help you through the pain, or help you to remember your pet so please take some time and have a browse.
Finally, I hope that you will sense from me an underlying tone of love, compassion and empathy towards other pet lovers who, whilst having incredible 4-legged companions as part of their families now, also have the occasional stabbing feelings of pain and loneliness when they remember those pets who have gone before them.
My posts will be a mixture of pet loss articles and thoughts about why our pets are so special. Please join our mailing list for email updates as well as follow us on your favorite social media channels. If you are a blogger with interesting blogs, join our community and SUBMIT YOUR BLOGS HERE too.
Lots of love and all the very best to you and your extended family
PS> We are the fastest-growing pet loss site in the world and with your help we will be the biggest community of animal lovers with thousands of members. On every post you will see share buttons so it’s really easy to do and that would be really great for us… please continue to spread the word x
